Laser Engraved 3D Christmas Ornament:

The first project we did as a class project was design and produce 50 pieces of this 3 layered lamented wooden Christmas Ornament. The process included Bandsaws, Jointers, Plainers, sanders, many layers of varnish, and of course the programming and implementation of the Laser Engraver.

Guitar Stands and Stringed Instruments:
We also put into production several Guitar stands using various types of wood, and several types of joints including Dowel Joints and Mortise and Tenon.
We also designed two different simple stringed instruments for autism spectrum students in our community. One involved a boxed body (one shown in previous photo) the other involved turning bowls on a lathe with a lip; and with the use of zither pins stringing the bowl for a one handed stringed simple instrument.

Tambourine Repair:

After building the Bodhrán I learned how to use goatskin and was able to repair this Pentecostal tambourine (a Tambourine with a head) that had torn during my move to Eastern Kentucky.

Although the seem is visible, after the goatskin patch was added , the head tightened right back up as if it had never been torn and plays perfectly!
